Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Shift Supervisor Mining to be placed in Musina Limpopo. The successful candidate will report to the Master Sinker The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Job description

• Reception and delivery if employees/equipment/material to the underground operation
• Effective risk management and compliance with DMR, M&RC and client requirements
• Cost containment

• Compliance with SHEQ, M&RC and client standards, policies and procedures

Minimum requirements

• Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
• Blasting Certificate of competency
• Recognised Shift Supervisor Certificate
• Valid First Aid Certificate
• Medical Certificate of Fitness
• Team leadership skills
• Sound planning, co-ordination and monitoring skills
• Good communication skills in English

• 3 Years’ experience in an underground mining environment as a Miner
• Exposure to acting as a Shift Supervisor would be advantageous
• Depending on the role he/she is performing, mining, sinking, development, stoping and/or Timberman experience could be required
• Knowledge of SHEQ standard and requirements
• Resourceful problem solver who can work within agree parameters
